[ARCHIVED] Library Announces Schedule for Fall Storytime Programs

babies books

The Colonial Heights Public Library has announced their schedule for this Fall's Storytime Programs. See below for complete details. Story time sessions take place in the Fall/Winter and the Winter/Spring.  Story hours are a wonderful way for children to gain important pre-reading skills, learn to socialize with other children, and to begin a lifelong love of books and reading. No registration is necessary. A parent or caregiver must attend with the child. Please call Chantal Emerson at 804-520-9384 with any questions.

Fall Family Storytime

All ages are welcome but ages 3-5 are recommended

Program takes place each Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 am September 18 through December 5th. Join us for stories, music, and creative movement. Each story hour ends with a craft or STEM activity. Children build early literacy proficiency while making new friends and developing social skills. The suggested age is 3-5 year olds, but all ages are welcome.

Babies and Books

Ages 6-24 months

This program is an opportunity for parents with babies and toddlers to enjoy an interactive storytime as each child and caregiver shares a copy of a book while the presenter reads aloud to the group. There will be a variety of songs, fingerplays, and activities with musical instruments and other play items such as scarves, balloon balls, stretchy bands, and bubbles.

The program will meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Library at 10:15am. Meeting dates are September 5, October 3, November 7, and December 5
